2017 Texas Recruiting Showcase

By | College Showcase, Recruiting, Texas Volleyball Tour's Junior Beach Series

Memorial Day Weekend was a big success and lots of Texas athletes were discovered by top D1 Beach Volleyball Programs!
Saturday and Sunday started with the Olympian Beach clinics, hosted by Phil Dalhausser, Nick Lucena, and Todd Rogers.  Athletes worked in small groups on elite skills and received feedback to further develop their game. After the morning clinics athletes participated in the Texas Recruiting Showcase where 12 college coaches, from top D1 Beach Programs recruited.
On Monday morning athletes got to take part in a College Coaches Camp and worked in small groups with college coaches from Cal Poly, University of Arizona, Arizona State, FAU, GSU, GCU, Hawaii, TCU, Stetson, SJSU, Florida State and South Carolina.
Big thanks to the athletes and coaches that attended the 2017 Texas Recruiting Showcase & Olympian Beach Clinics on Memorial Day Weekend in San Antonio.  Over 350 athletes got to work with and be seen by 12 College Coaches from top D1 Beach Programs in the US. This was an amazing opportunity for athletes looking to further develop their game and play at the collegiate level.
We will be hosting more events in 2018! Join our mailing list to stay up-to-date on the latest news & information: Texas Volleyball Tour’s Junior Beach.

Big Finishes for Juniors

By | AVPNext

Juniors Place 2nd, 3rd and 5th at the 2017 AVPNext Season Opener in San Antonio: Simone Priebe, junior and Pepperdine commit, took a 2nd place finish at the AVPNext Season Opener in San Antonio. Simone and her partner, Taylor Nutterfield, faced down AVP Pro Kendra Van Zwieten and Carolina Marciniak in the finals, taking them to a third game before falling.  Taylor Jarzombek, senior and GCU commit, took a 3rd place with her partner, Mel Calata.  And 2020 beach recruits Caitlin Moon and Sophie Bengochea took a 5th place finish.  Caitlin and Sophie played with fire as they worked their way through some intense competition before being eliminated by Taylor Jarzombek in the semifinals.  These athletes are playing in AVPNext to prepare for the fierce competition they will face in California this summer.  Learn more about AVPNext… There’s no better way to prepare for California!
