Women’s Beach Volleyball has come a long way since its inaugural appearance at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games.  In 2010 the NCAA officially recognized beach volleyball as a collegiate sport.  In 2014 beach volleyball was approved to become a championship NCAA DI sport, with DII and DIII in 2015, and its first official NCAA championship in 2016.  There are currently more than 80 colleges offering beach volleyball programs and the list is growing.  Many of these universities are already offering beach volleyball scholarships and the competition for scholarships is strong.

With our year-round beach athletes finishing among the top in the nation during the 2014, 2015, and 2016 seasons, we are looking forward to 2017!

The rules define who may be involved in the recruiting process, when recruiting may occur and the conditions under which recruiting may be conducted. Recruiting rules seek, as much as possible, to control intrusions into the lives of student-athletes.  Learn more…
